Getting ready to travel

On Monday, Novemer 30, the word finally came that it was time to travel and bring Emma home to her forever family. From that moment on, craziness has been the constant state. Plans have been made to fly over to China, for Aunt Kim and I will be leaving on Thursday, December 10, stopping in L.A. for some hours, and then continuing our journey through Seoul and finally landing in Guangzhou on Saturday, December 12. From Guangzhou we will take a short flight to the city of Nanchang, which is in the province on Jiangxi where Emma is from. We will be met at the airport by a guide who will stay with us during our stay in Nanchang. On Monday, December 14 I will finially get to hold Emma Xin Grace.
Thank you to all family and friends who have been overwhelmingling supportive during this long endeavor. Emma started as this abstract "thing" I was doing, and now she is finally a person, an older sister, a granddaughter, my daughter -and I don't think I could have done it without everyone. So here we go...let the game begin, and as Steve told me in his wise, OLD, words - I am now going to be out numbered in the house.

  4. went online to see what Nanchang is like - believe it or not, there is a Walmart there! there is also a street called "Women's Street" this is what it says about the street "What's more a street devoted specifically to the needs of women, known as Women Street here in Nanchang, needs a particular mention. This street mainly deals in various fashionable dresses, shoes and other items which certainly draw the attention of women. If you are a female visitor or if ever you travel with your female counterparts do remember to visit this street. It won't disappoint you." Can't start too soon training Emma how to shop!
